God Of Death

HISTORY

Since the invasion of Edenia from Outworld, Ermac was in the early stages of creation. Many Edenian souls were fused together in one body created by Shao Kahn.
Under the Kahn’s influence, Ermac was a force of evil and a deadly combatant as he helped aid in his efforts to invade other realms. It was not until Shao Kahn’s death that he was able to roam alone, yet roam under the fallen Emporer’s control in Outworld.

Later the blind swordsman, Kenshi, found him and set him wholly free from Shao Kahn’s grip. Ermac thanked them and then decided to ally himself with Earthrealm in their ongoing battles.
He soon found out a few of the many souls within him were none other than King Jerrod, Shao Kahn, Onaga, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung as they were defeated. With Shinnok already destroyed by Raiden and no one to protect the Netherrealm, Ermac was able to plea with the Elder Gods to take him far from Outworld. And so he became the God and Protector of Netherrealm, much like Raiden was to Earthrealm or Argus to Edenia.

HEADCANONS

— Now that Ermac is a God, he is able to take form of an ethereal dragon much like the other Gods. His is comprised of souls, green in color and ghost-like. He have little to no control over it, however, due to the fact he is new & has many souls that conflict with each other.

— Ermac has never been with anyone romantically and he finds it very hard for him to make friends due to his lack of emotions. He tries sometimes though and are very open to new experiences.

— Unlike Raiden and much like Fujin, Ermac takes his time to get to know the inhabitants of the Netherrealm as well as the other residents in other Realms.

— Because his alignment is Good, the Netherrealm does not have the reputation it used to.

— Ermac really loves animals, specifically the hellhounds in the Netherrealm. And snakes.

— Ermac identifies as non-binary with masculine traits, but will always refer to himself as “we”, “our”, “ours”, “us”, etc. Any pronouns are good for him.

— If he were to meet Shao Kahn in another timeline, he’d be terrified despite being a God due to how things used to be with his Shao Kahn.

— A few phobias Ermac has developed overtime are; Autophobia the fear of being alone, Entomophobia fear of insects, Hydrophobia fear of water, Pyrophobia fear of fire.

— The powerful souls within him are what encouraged the Elder Gods to let him keep all of the Souls. They treat him like a prison for those who are evil and much too powerful for them.

— Sometimes Ermac has wholesome reactions to things.

— Only those who he deems unworthy call him Lord Ermac.

— While he is uncomfortable around Quan Chi and Shang Tsung, they treated him much better than Shao Kahn.

— Will use pet names!

— Now the God of Death, Ermac helps lost souls guide their way through the Netherrealm and damn the evil ones to burn for eternity.
